GENERAL HISTORY
OUR BEGINNINGS
It’s the stuff of movies: A young man risks all and makes good. Fruitridge was started in 1963 by Dick Fisher with a $6000 loan from his dad. From that seed money, Dick built Fruitridge into a $9 million company, recognized regionally and nationally for outstanding multicolor work.
Dick was the only person chosen twice as Printer of the Year by the Sacramento Printer’s Association. Dick passed away in 2006 leaving a legacy of decency, integrity, and the belief that given a chance people are innately good.
He lived by these words, “When the one great scorekeeper comes to write against your name it’s not if you won or lost but how you played the game”. Fruitridge remains a family owned business and we strive to maintain Dick’s passion for printing and his standards in life.
WHAT WE DO
Fruitridge is a full-service printing and creative communication company. We help companies market their products through different media including: Offset printing, digital printing, multimedia and creative services.
OUR MANAGEMENT
“Since 1983 I’ve worked at Fruitridge Printing with my husband Dick Fisher. While he taught me a lot about printing he taught me more about how to treat our customers, employees, and vendors. At Fruitridge my goal goes beyond putting ink on paper to one where I want everyone to feel working with and for us is a great experience." - Susan Hausmann
“People tease me that having grown up in the printing industry, ink is in my blood and it’s true! My earliest memories are visiting my Dad at work where he was a pressman and later plant manager. All my adult life I’ve been in printing with the last 20 years at Fruitridge. My satisfaction comes from using my expertise to help people with both large and small projects because at Fruitridge everyone is important." - Karen Young
